“B.J. writes some of the best copy I’ve ever read.
And I’ve read a LOT of copy.”
Roberta Solomon, voicework for TV, Radio & Film

“As a television producer she has an organized, thoughtful, and structured approach that keeps productions on time without a drop off in quality.  She has excellent production values, always desiring to have the best possible results before she’ll put her name on a production. B.J. is able to work with a variety of people and personalities under sometimes challenging circumstances, yet still end up with a great product.
Her writing skills are top-notch.
All this and she is a joy to work with as well!”
Gary Repair, Executive Producer, UNO Television

“B.J. Huchtemann is one of those rare writers who is a true music lover who really knows her music. In my opinion she is a fine journalist. Her pieces read well and say what’s important. It’s rare to find people who pay attention to the details and get it all so right.”
-Tommy Castro, musician, BB King Entertainer of the Year & multiple Blues Music Award winner

“B.J. was the main reason for the successful outcome of the video tribute to the life and legacy of Louis Grell: Vision & Versatility. Her patience and professionalism shined through as we sat for hours together fine-tuning the beautifully written and produced video, which aired in the Chicago market, online at www.LouisGrell.com and throughout Nebraska on Public TV. The Louis Grell family is so very proud to have had the honor of working with B.J. on this production, which still airs online and is used to help promote the artist’s legacy.”
Richard Grell, President, Louis Grell Foundation

“B.J. is a smart, dedicated, passionate human, who puts her heart into her work. You’d be hard-pressed to find a content producer as dependable, timely, and hard-working. She asks smart questions. She hits deadlines. She’s a great writer. These are all qualities I want out of a team member.” – Andrew Norman, Executive Director/Co-Founder, HearNebraska

Social Media

As marketing consultant for Texas blues-rocker and Blues Music Award nominee Hadden Sayers Band, I am involved in the day to day branding and fan engagement, especially as an admin on Facebook. Current initiatives include promoting summer festival dates, maximizing pre-orders for the band’s acoustic/electric double-recording due out in September and building momentum for solo artist house concerts via a special URL HaddenInTheHouse.com that redirects to that information on the artist’s website.

In December, I brainstormed a Blue Monday merchandise sale promotion for Christmas with 20% off and rolled it out for the client Dec. 11 on Facebook with a tease Dec. 10.
The results as of mid-afternoon Dec. 12  included several hundred dollars in CD and T-Shirt sales plus over a dozen organic new email list sign-ups and over 15 organic clicks in 36 hours on the new FB page “Shop Now” Button. We extended the sale through Wednesday, Dec. 13, to capitalize on any procrastinators or people who were not able to engage with their social media on a Monday. We boosted the preview post and one post during the campaign on Tuesday. We also did a “pop up” sale in early January.

The client had been very inactive on his band Facebook page prior to December 2017 and is very pleased with the new activity, sales, email list sign-ups and awareness we are building. In April and May, we also worked an Indiegogo campaign to fund physical production, PR and distribution for the new CD release in 2018 including conceptualizing the premium incentives for the Indiegogo campaign.  I was also involved with proofing and helping finalize the new website that launched at the end of 2017, reviewing and recommending content.
